Prof. Cho Hwan- Seong (Lt) with Prof. Seregey Kim (Rt) during a Telemedicine consultation with the patient and guardian

In 2019 a 13 year old male patient from Russia first complained of left hip pain in his home country that kept persisting even with some treatment. A bone mass was found later after an MRI test was done with the biopsy test showed that ewing sarcoma was the mass. Patient was told that treatment would be difficult and getting treated abroad was an option that should be thought of.

After arriving in Korea for treatment he was provided surgical treatment at SNUBH and the patient was able to walk comfortably since a long time ago.

Prof. Cho, Hwan-Seong a specialist in pelvic bone cancer, and bone cancer of children who had treated the patient had this to say: ‘’I am proud and thankful to have been able to help this young man and will wish for him to get better everyday.

We were able to treat him due to the high level of expertise and experience our hospital staff possesses. SNUBH is one of the few of the hospitals that can treat bone and soft tissue tumors including bone cancers, soft tissue sarcomas and benign bone tumors’’
The patients mother said that the most satisfying aspect of her sons treatment in SNUBH was when the professor explained that you can get a good effect of treatment at each stage. One of her happiest moments at the hospital was when the professor came out and said that the surgery went well.

She noted that the most impressive hospital service was the technology, the expertise of the medical staff. And she Thanks them from the bottom of her heart.
